Ricki Lake, Derek Hough Score Perfect 10s with Samba on DWTS

After weeks of training and fierce competition, the latest season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars is nearing the end. With four finalists left in the competition, last night offered a hint as to who might be the winner.

The biggest surprise of the night was Rob Kardashian, brother of reality star and socialite Kim Kardashian.

Not only did he get near perfect scores on both his dances, but he also earned the judges' praises, who told him he'd finally turned a “handicap” into an “asset” (they were talking about the way he shakes his backside when he dances, which came very in handy for the Samba).

Another surprise, this time not pleasant, was J.R. Martinez's performance which, because of a sprained ankle, was considerably subpar and landed him at the bottom of the leaderboard for the night.

Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough, on the other hand, had one of their best nights since the current season started: they got perfect 10s for the Samba and a near perfect 29 score for the Argentine Tango.

The Samba that got them 30 points and put them at the top of the leaderboard for another week is also embedded below, at the end of the article.

The intro to the dance showed the two rehearsing the moves for the Tango, with Ricki saying she was afraid she might “break Derek” because of the heavy lifting he was doing.

She clearly still has some body image issues and she believes she's a heavy girl when, in reality, she's lost a lot of weight and is probably slimmer and more toned than ever.

In the end, it paid off: their Samba was perfect, getting a standing ovation from the audience and straight 10s from the jury.

“Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. You have just taken a giant step into the final,” Len Goodman said.

“Sizzling hot, bright and brilliant,” Bruno Tonioli added.
