14 DAY TRIAL // The other night, Bon Jovi performed in Calgary, but Richie Sambora was notably absent. He confirmed on his website that he was dropping out of the band’s tour for “personal issues” – and TMZ has an idea of what they might be.
Despite rumors that Sambora’s decision might have had something to do with drugs or alcohol abuse, the e-zine claims to have it on good authority that money is at the root of the problem.
Well, that and the fact that Jon Bon Jovi has been treating Sambora very badly, Sambora feels.
“It's a classic Jagger/Richards blowup,” says a spy.
As for Jon Bon Jovi’s stance, he made it very clear where he stood in Calgary, when he told the crowd, “I had two choices: pack up and go home or give you everything I got... Richie Sambora won't be performing for a while. If there's ever a night I need you, it's tonight, Calgary!”
