The state of Rhode Island is getting ready to sell the assets that it has seized after the bankruptcy proceedings of 38 Studios in 2012.

Richard J. Land, a lawyer for Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, tells the Providence Journal that, “Who knows what the value ultimately will be. But there is interest in the assets.”

Kingdoms of Amalur is a fantasy universe that was created in part by R.A. Salvatore and companies might be interested in picking it up on the cheap in order to create new experiences using its unique elements.

Curt Schilling, the founder of 38 Studios, and some of his associates will also be sent to trial for their mismanagement of funds that New Jersey offered as guarantees.

Before 38 Studios went bankrupt, Electronic Arts was rumored to be interested in picking up the rights to Kingdoms of Amalur.
