Jose Antonio Reyes is still chasing his Real Madrid dream-move. Although he stated that he didn't ask for Arsenal to let him go, the Spaniard admitted, earlier today, that he hopes the two clubs agree on his transfer fee. Still, the midfielder expressed desire for the move to be completed by the time Arsenal faces Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League qualifying round, on the 8/9th of August.

Despite all that, he admitted that he'll have
no problem in playing for Arsene Wenger in the Champions League. "Obviously, if I do play, it will make a move to Real more difficult. But if I have, I will play. The manager hasn't said anything to me and I don't know if I am going to play or not. I hope I don't or that everything will be resolved before then", said Reyes.

If the Spaniard will play for Arsenal in the CL later next week, a move to Real Madrid would keep him outside Europe this season. UEFA regulations clearly states that a footballer cannot play for 2 different teams in the European competitions the same season. So Fabio Capello could only use him for the Primera Liga matches.

This will, most likely, weaken the Spanish side's interest for the player, since Real Madrid's main purpose is to create a strong team for this year's Champions League. Although the Spanish League title is important as well, Capello primarily eyes a European success.

Reyes made it very clear, last week, that he doesn't necessarily want to leave Arsenal, but when it comes to a move to Real Madrid, any player has to pick up on it. "I have always said that Madrid is one of my biggest targets. Everyone knows it. Clubs are looking for me but the only way that any team, including Madrid, can sign me is by speaking to Arsenal", concluded the midfielder.
