Have your face covered in bird poo, be stunning

Just in case anyone had any doubts about the lengths to which man (but women in particular) would go to look good and cling on to those precious youth years for as long as possible, here's one treatment that is causing major waves in showbiz right now. It's called the Geisha Facial, it costs about $200, you can only get it at the exclusive Shizuka New York beauty salon, and it actually consists of dried bird droppings. "Naturist" has never been such an understated term until now.

Although Shizuka Bernstein, the owner of the spa and also the creator of the revolutionizing facial, is aware that not most women would literally jump at the chance of having their face covered in bird poo, she assures them that this is not by far as gross as it sounds. It is, actually, a wonder in disguise, since we're talking about dried nightingale droppings that have not only a cleansing effect on the skin, but also a rejuvenating, relaxing and beautifying one. That is to say, for approximately $200, you get the best of the best: droppings flown in from Japan, dried and sanitized under ultraviolet light in such a way as to be less offending on the nostrils of the female customers in need of a rapid makeover.

The idea for the facial came, as Bernstein explains, after hearing a story about how geishas would remove their makeup in the bygone times when cleansing products were not available. "At the time, the make-up contained lead, which was very damaging to their skin. So they tried everything to take it off and nothing worked. And then they tried the nightingale droppings and it not only worked, but it left their skin smooth." she tells Fox News.

Since porcelain and youthful skin is among the first things that any woman wants no matter the costs, Bernstein brought the "recipe" to New York, where her facial is already a favorite with all the big stars, and not only. "It doesn't feel as abrasive as some other facials and it smells organic. And it doesn't tingle or burn. It just sort of stays there. It's a really simple, calming facial." one of the many clients of the day spa told Fox after a 50-minute session of laying with the pooey mask on her face. "The results are amazing," she added. So they must be.
