The Chronic-Dev Team’s untether solution for iOS 5.1.1, Rocky Racoon, has been updated to support the latest firmware release from Apple - the revised iOS 5.1.1 rolled out this past weekend.

Applicable to devices that are already jailbroken using a “tethered” solution, Rocky Racoon 1.0-2 “ will allow your 5.1.1 device to reboot without requiring an external tool such as redsn0w,” according to the infamous group of hackers known as the Chronic-Dev Team.

Led by renowned hacker Cyril, also known as Pod2g in Twitter circles, Chronic-Dev confirms that their updated Rocky Racoon does the job for all iOS 5.1.1 builds released by Apple for the iPhone.

“As there are now two versions of iOS, both called ‘5.1.1’ for iPhone 4 GSM, 1.0-2 was released to support both,” according to the description up on Cydia (the place where you can get the hack).
