A man is able to convey in words and sounds how 45-year-old sweets taste like. The British uploader has a YouTube channel in which he tastes and reviews old food, among other things.

The channel belongs to Stuart Ashen, and in the featured video he eats the contents of an army-issued tin of sweet goods. The tin contains biscuits and two chocolate round bars.

The biscuits look like they could have come off the shelves last week. They are very well preserved, considering their age and the fact that they were shipped to US soldiers during the Vietnam War.

In fact, the tin is part of a soldier's ration, which is an interesting perspective on the historical war. The chocolate smells like it is rotten.

"It's just a sort of bitter wave of absolute rot and horror," Ashen shares.
