Amazon has recently pushed its latest Kindle Fire HDX tablets out into the world. And with Black Friday coming, Amazon saw a great opportunity to offer the previous model of the Kindle Fire at a discounted price.

Customers residing in the UK can now pick up the Kindle Fire HD for a price of £99 / $162 / €119. Down from the original £159 / $260 / €191, the product is now one of the most affordable slates on the market.

The Kindle Fire HD still offers some impressive specifications so this deal is worthy of being taken into consideration. The tablet features a 7-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels perfect for streaming HD movies and games. 16GB of storage capacity is provided onboard. Nevertheless, note there's no camera or HDMI-out present.

Amazon has added a dual-core processor with an Imagination PowerVR graphics core that is said to be able to handle 6.2 billion floating-point operations per second, so even the most advanced games will run without a problem on the tablet. The Kindle will also offer access to a plethora of apps and comes shipping with the new Fire OS 3.0.
