New Year’s Eve is drawing near and, as days swing by, so do the chances of finding that perfect outfit for the grand party. Extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary methods, they say, and we should not let the new outfit, or lack thereof, be a reason to bring us down and not enjoy what is undoubtedly the greatest night of the year. Thanks to the latest appeared accessories, we can now reuse last year’s dress and still look great.

Mrs. Credit Crunch, also known as "Britain’s thriftiest mom and wife," writing for The Daily Mail, points out that, thanks to the latest in terms of accessories, not having the time or the money (but more so the latter) to purchase a new gown is no longer an obstacle in the path towards looking like a star. So, what could easily be discarded as an outdated dress can become quite the center of all attention thanks to little things, like a sparkling, colored ring, a cuff, cascade earrings, a corsage, a shrug or a pair of glittery shoes.

Aside from making the outfit more “lively” and certainly ten times trendier than it was perhaps a year ago as well, these items are also guaranteed not to make you turn your pockets inside out to pay for them. As a matter of fact, as Mrs. Credit Crunch points out, most of them cost under £20, with the majority going even below 10, which is clearly something speaking in their favor.

So, as long as we make sure we don’t go for the cheapest option there is, but choose wisely our accessories (Topshop and Dorothy Perkins being just two retailers that offer such small prices for the above mentioned items), we should not let an “insignificant” detail like not having a new dress ruin our New Year’s Eve glam party. Because, if it’s glam we’re talking about, we know now that it doesn’t always equal new or expensive.
