The MacBook Air with a retina display must be one of the most expected computers in Apple's lineup. If your waiting for that, get ready to wait some more.

A report by a Chinese website shows a release schedule for Intel's next processors. the 14-nanometer Broadwell chips are the ones that should make it to the future versions of MacBook Air, retina MacBook Pro and iMac.

According to the cited source, Intel will begin production on its low power Core M chips sometimes this month and will release them in August 2014. That will delay the production for U and H Broadwell chip series till the end of this year.

The chip that Apple waits for its 13" MacBook Pro and the new Air model will only be out by February of 2015. The processors for the 15" retina MacBook Pro won't be on the shelves until July of 2015.

"We expect the initial Broadwell-based devices, including fanless 2-in-1s built on the Core M processor, will be on shelves by the end of this year with more products and broader OEM availability in 2015," Intel told CNET on Wednesday.

If that's the case, Apple will not be able to release new computers this fall with the launch of OS X Yosemite.

The desktops are not ready for a prime time debut either. Apple has released a low-end iMac last month, but the lineup hasn't been updated for almost 11 months.

The Browdwell chips made by Intel are believed to be 30% faster and more power efficient than the current Haswell.
