The owner of a restaurant which was closing down chose to inform their staff of the news via one of the most impersonal means of communication, the dreaded text message.

The restaurant in question is Barducci's, an Italian Bistro in Winter Park, Florida. Owner Gregory Kennedy didn't even add a sad face when he sent a copy of the message posted above to all his employees. To make matters even worse, the texts went out on their day off for the Fourth of July.

"I think it's immoral. I think it's cowardice," commented Jodi Jackson, a cook who has been employed at Barducci's for two years.

The text, relayed by WFTV, informs them of the restaurant closing because of an emergency, but doesn't specify its nature. It also mentions nothing about whether or not the staff will be getting paid.
