Respawn Entertainment, the video game developer created by Vince Zampella and Jason West after they left Infinity Ward and their relation with publisher Activision Blizzard, has put out job adds for art and audio lead designers, confirming in the process that their first video games was set to arrive on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC.

The relevant bits from the ads say, “Respawn intends to develop a multi-platform product that works on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Its product will be based on new video game IP and will be funded through its publishing deal with Electronic Arts, one of the top publishers in the industry.”

Respawn Entertainment has not offered any official information on their project, with the two founders claiming that they are in the early stages of creating a company and only testing ideas about a new game universe to see which one is the most attractive internally and to new publisher Electronic Arts.

David DeMartini, who is the general manager of the EA Partners program at the publisher, has states at the Gamescom trade event that the Respawn team needs time to “buy chairs and desks and furniture, find new technology from the ground up, and pull a team together.”

Vince Zampella and Jason West are well known for making Call of Duty and Modern Warfare some of the best known brands in the world of video games.

Modern Warfare 2, despite serious flaws with its single player campaign, managed to be the best sold title of 2009 on the strength of its multiplayer.

The pair had a disagreement with Activision Blizzard about money and about who owned the rights to the name Modern Warfare and have since created their own company, entering into a publishing deal with Electronic Arts, a publisher which has publicly stated that they seek to take the first person shooter crown back.

"managed to be the best sold title of 2009 on the strength of its multiplayer."

Would that be on the console platform or the PC platform?
