The development team at Respawn Entertainment says that the recent round of layoffs at Electronic Arts is not affecting the development process for its yet unrevealed first-person shooter.

The company states via its Twitter feed that "we're just fine. No need to worry about us. Always sad to hear about layoffs other places though."

Electronic Arts has confirmed that it has gone through a restructuring process which has seen some of its staffers let go.

Respawn is composed of many developers who have previously worked on the Call of Duty series at Infinity Ward, who left after a 2010 scandal.

Only one fuzzy image linked to their new project has been revealed so far.

Official information about the new Respawn shooter is expected to be delivered during the Electronic Arts E3 2013 press conference.
