Due to popular demand, it seems, Resistance 3 will feature support both for stereoscopic 3D technology as well as for the PlayStation Move motion control peripheral and the special Sharp shooter device, according to an announcement made by its developer, Insomniac Games.

Resistance 3 is among the big PlayStation 3 exclusive games of the year, and, due to popular demand, will borrow a few of the features from the recent Killzone 3, another exclusive that appeared earlier this year.

[admark=1]First, the game includes support for stereoscopic 3D, meaning that if you have a compatible 3DTV connected to your PlayStation 3, you'll experience the new first-person shooter in all three dimensions.

Secondly, Insomniac Games has also added support for the PlayStation Move motion control system, meaning you can control the shooter with the Move peripherals, but also with the special Sharp Shooter device, which incorporates the Move into a gun-like casing.

"Today we are finally able reveal, due to overwhelming community demand, that Resistance 3 will support Stereoscopic 3DTV," Insomniac's Senior Community Manager James Stevenson wrote on the PS Blog.

"Furthermore, those of you who are enjoying the precision of the PlayStation Move motion controller with your copies of Killzone 3 and the SOCOM 4 Beta will be delighted to know that Resistance 3 will also support PlayStation Move and the sharp shooter. After Killzone 3 launched, we heard a massive amount of positive feedback, and were inundated with requests to support both PlayStation Move and sharp shooter."

It seems that all PlayStation 3 exclusive shooters are incorporating support for the Move, while almost all games are getting 3D support on the platform.

For regular gamers who don't have a 3DTV or a PlayStation Move system, you can rest assured that they'll still be fully playable in regular 2D with the old DualShock 3 controller on the PlayStation 3.

Look forward to Resistance 3 appearing only for the PS3 on September 6.
