Resident Evils That Never Made It. And You'll See Why Too

- Do all GameBoy Color titles look like this...?

By: Filip Truta, Games Editor

Here's something that will totally change your opinion towards the GameBoy Color console from Nintendo and the Resident Evil series from Capcom. Joystiq
posts this article today about Resident Evil versions that never made it. And you'll soon see why.

Comparing a GBA Resident Evli title and a GameBoy Color version of the same game, Joystiq says: "While the GBC version is pretty much what you'd expect, the GBA version looks pretty darn good. Sadly, development was later canceled on both of these. " I'm not arguing that Joystiq isn't right here, especially with the GBA part. That one really looks good. But since I stumbled upon the GBC version myself, I can't help not sharing with you.

I'm not sure if this one was even released as a demo. By the way it looks, it couldn't have stood a chance even as GameBoy 1989 model title. Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes here, I'm a fan of the Resident Evil series myself (although I didn't actually get to play the latest one), but the GameBoy Color version simply blows. Not even cave men would play it.

Of course, you're going to say: ‘Hey, you loser, that image has been enlarged to twice the size of the GameBoys's normal screen size,’ but I know that and I still think it sucks completely. Is that actual gameplay we're seeing there? Because it looks more like we're watching a Japanese cartoon with twice as less movement from the characters, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, if anyone wondered why they never made it, or at least the GBC version, you have your answer below.

Resident Evil GBA (fairly good)
