In case you're wondering what the upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations 2 looks like, you need wonder no longer: a gameplay demo video has emerged from this year's edition of Tokyo Game Show, packing a lot of action from the horror game.

The demo video is 18 minutes long and shows a lot of in-game footage, focusing on exploration and showing some of the patented action we have come to expect from the horror series.

Although the commentary is in Japanese, the gameplay footage features English voice acting. Even though the footage does not reflect the final game's visual fidelity, it still offers a pretty good idea of how the game will play.

The video follows Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, exploring a dark, damp dungeon, and then getting attacked by the infected.

The game is developed by Capcom, and the team includes many of the core staff members who worked on the previous entry in the franchise, but the action takes place in a brand new setting, and in another time period.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is scheduled to come out sometime in early 2015, headed to the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms.

The game will be released in an episodic fashion, similar to how Telltale Games releases its adventure games, and once all the chapters are out, the retail edition bundling them all together will be launched.
