Capcom has recently announced that PC gamers who pre-ordered Resident Evil HD Remaster will now be able to pre-load it so that they will be ready to play it when it gets released on Steam on January 20.

In fact, if you live in the United States, Resident Evil HD Remaster will be available on Steam at 9pm on January 19, so you might actually be able to play it earlier than European customers will.

The pre-load option wasn’t available for PlayStation owners until recently, as Sony only made it available in North America. Europeans who pre-ordered the game weren’t allowed to pre-load Resident Evil HD Remaster.

According to an official statement from Capcom, a pre-load on the European PSN store wasn’t possible, but they have promised that anyone purchasing Resident Evil HD Remaster in the first two weeks of release will be offered cross-buy, which means that they will be granted access to both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions at no additional cost.

Those who pre-order the PC game will also receive some bonuses

That isn’t the case with the PC version of the game, and those who pre-order Resident Evil HD Remaster will also receive some bonuses apart from being able to pre-load it.

Capcom has confirmed that PC players who pre-purchase the game will also receive the Soundtrack Selects and G. Trevor Mansion Guide digital artbook for free. This offer is only available until the game is actually released on Steam.

Speaking of which, you can still pre-order Resident Evil HD Remaster for £15.99 (€19.99) on Steam and take advantage of the bonuses that come in tow.

Keep in mind that the game’s size is about 15GB, so those with a slow Internet connection might really look into pre-ordering Resident Evil HD Remaster, so that they have enough time to pre-load it before the actual release. Are you going to pick this one up on your PC or console?
