Resident Evil 5 Demo Available in January?

It seems that the Blu-ray edition of the movie Resident Evil: Extinction will also pack a couple of goodies, the most important of them being a Resident Evil 5 demo. I wouldn't bet my house on such a release, but the list of contents doesn't end with the demo since the Blu-ray disk also packs a Devil May Cry 4 demo and some deleted scenes from the motion picture.

All of you Resident Evil fans will be pleased to find out that a CG version of the acclaimed movie will also follow, probably next year or in 2009. I suppose that it's going to be a totally new movie, as a remake wouldn't be as appealing right
now. Maybe we'll see Mila Jovovich's virtual self getting naked, just like Angelina did in Beowulf. Till January we'll do with the game's PS3 trailer, which is an unique horror experience in itself, specially the part when local African zombies attack by throwing axes towards and going straight for your throat.

I guess we'll be seeing Resident Evil 5 on the PS3, perhaps on the Xbox 360 as well, but it all depends on Capcom and how long they're willing to work and develop in order to achieve the same success that the fourth installment had. Since RE5 will have next-gen stamped all over it, it will most likely not be ported to the Wii, but it's possible that it would hit Nintendo's device in order to take advantage of that popular Blaster Zapper. However, you'll have to enjoy a dumbed down version, when it comes to graphics.

Here's what the Blu-Ray Disc Version Features according to this site:

■ Audio Commentary with Producer/Writer Paul W.S. Anderson and Producer Jeremy Bolt

■ Featurettes: "Beyond Raccoon City," "Alice Vision: Preproduction," "The Big Bang," "Bigger, Faster, Stronger: The Undead Evolve," "Vegas Visual Effects: Miniatures"

■ 11 Deleted Scenes

■ "Resident Evil: Degeneration" Sneak Peek

■ Video Game Demos: "Devil May Cry 4," "Resident Evil 5"

HD Exclusive Content:

■ "Under the Umbrella" picture-in-picture experience (Profile 1.1-enabled)

■ Blu-Wizard 2.0

Ummm...
1) Re movies suck
2) The CG Re is called 'Degeneration' and thank god, there is no Milla Jovovich in it, virtual or real.
3) Enemies in Re5 aren't zombies.
4) It is confirmed it will be released on Playstation 3 AND Xbox 360
5) Re4 sucked too, and unfortunately Re fan forums are now full of 10 year old kids screaming about how cool Leon is and that it is the best Re game ever (since they haven't played the other ones, or think they suck because the graphics aren't so good or are just scared so much that can't play [though they aren't so scary afterall...])
6) It seems like Re5 will be graphically updated version of Re4.

Quit your bitching. I've been a fan since the very beginning, and I love the new Resident Evil games.

You never liked Resident Evil, you just missed those slow/easy to kill zombies. A zombie fan is what you are, not a resident evil fan.

If this is just a graphical update of RE4 then it should NOT bare the Resident Evil name.. The last great Resident Evil game was the Remake on Gamecube. Now stop messing with the formula and give us some static camera, third person zombie terror..!

I agree with HArdcore RE fans everywhere, by stating that the old formula ruled, uncontrolled zombie outbreaks, mindless deaths, plots to nuke a city, mutating B.O.W's this is what the series is made from, these new games don't feel as authenticate, while the gameplay KICKS a$$ the storyline in 4 had nothing to do with the series thus making it non cannonicle, however 5 has much more to do supposidly, and having played the RE5 demo, i can say that RE5 will be on my buy list for sure, and i don't normally pay for games

Wait a second, if its a graphical update to RE4 it shouldn't bare the name RE but the last good game was a graphical update remake. lol great logic there eXecati0n.
I can't wait to try out the new RE, I had all the main games (everything released on PS1 and Gamecube, not the PS2 only rubbish). I just hope you don't have to protect the new coop character all the time like the girl in RE4, that was tedious.

I agree so many kids think Leon's the best personally I feel that the classic RE games are so much better than these new ones I dunno if this ones gonna be any good I hope it will so Fingers crossed and does anyone know if there's an actual date set?
