Capcom has just confirmed the release dates for two of its upcoming video games, the high-definition remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code: Veronica X, which were announced earlier this year.

Capcom is banking big on the high-definition remake fad, as the company is taking some of its classic and popular titles from the previous hardware generation and remastering them in high definition for current platforms.

We've already seen quite a few re-releases in recent years, like Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, but gamers are now set to receive the Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil: Code: Veronica X HD titles.

The games were announced earlier this year, and Capcom has finally decided to actually pin release dates on the two titles which are set to arrive in less than two months as downloadable games on the PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Network, and the Xbox 360, via Xbox Live Arcade.

Resident Evil 4 HD is set to arrive on September 20, while Code: Veronica X HD will be released one week later, on September 27, through the online services, both costing 1600 Microsoft Points, on Xbox Live, or $19.99, on the PlayStation Network.

In case you didn't manage to play these popular games the first time they appeared, Capcom is offering this great way to fix this and enjoy the two titles, in high definition and with all sorts of extra goodies, like the Separate Ways epilogue made for Resident Evil 4 after its first release.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the most critically praised titles in the survival horror series made by Capcom, putting players in the shoes of Leon Kennedy, and tasking him with rescuing the daughter of the president from an European village ravaged by a virus that infects people and turns them into zombie-like creatures.

Code: Veronica X sees players takes on the role of Claire Redfield, who must venture onto an island controlled by the evil Umbrella Corporation, while searching for her brother, and uncover the truth about its virus experiments.

Until the games are released, check out the new screenshots and videos below.
