While playing Resident Evil 4 can get tricky at every corner as zombies mash your body into oblivion and then feed upon your brains, the greatest challenges in the game are arguably the boss fights. Get ready to embark in a journey that will take you from boss to boss, from enemy to enemy, until you reach the end and can feel the thrill of victory.

Del Lago

Although he's huge, don't let that scare you. You need to use the harpoons you find in the boat. He will, of course, drag the boat into trees, so be sure to maneuver it in the clear, while continuously hurling harpoons at the beast. When the fight stops, he will try and sneak attack you, so be sure to aim at his mouth. Tap [A] if you get knocked out of the boat and swim back. It's important, because failure means death. You will also take damage from this. The only way to interrupt this attack is by harpooning, so be fast and deal about 10 blows as they will most likely kill Del Lago.

El Gigante

Since you begin combat right next to him, you'll need to put some distance between you and El Gigante. Your best weapon is Ada's speed because she's way faster than Leon and will be successful in running away. So be sure to change positions. If you stay in one spot for too long you will get hurt. Although El Gigante is slow, he does take some big steps. So this translates in moderate speed, but bad handling. You can effectively run circles around him while using the TMP as your main weapon. Once you do enough damage, he will fall and show the parasite on his back. Quickly run up and slash it. You need to repeat the whole process three more times. If he does get close, you can always flash bang him and run back.

Bella Sisters

There are two paths to choose from. One leads to El Gigante while the other leads to many gandos, and a showdown with these ladies. This is going to be hard, with crowded areas that have a lot of enemies and not that much maneuvering space. Hide Ashley, then take out all the gandos, and keep going until you run into the Bella Sisters. They start the fight real close to you so watch out. They are much faster than the normal chainsaw guys. Pull out your shotgun and blast them both. Once they are on the ground use any big gun you have and unload all your ammo on them. It won't take a lot of shooting to kill them both, but one mistake can be fatal in such a small area.

Bitores Mendez

He splits and all that keeps him together is a thin spine, so use a Shotgun or TMP to shoot it. You can dodge all of his attacks. Once he splits, he's going to be swinging from the poles. Use your Shotgun to take him out. When he falls to the ground, unload all you can with your Handgun.

Garrador

Grarador is the blind man in a cage. This fight starts you out in a locked cage. Try not to panic. As soon as the fight starts, break out your TMP and use it to break out of the cage. Once you're outside, it gets a lot easier, unless he gets out too. Go back out into the hallway and use your pistol to ping a shot off his head. That will send him after you. It's easy to dodge and he will get stuck in the wall, so use any gun and blast his plaga. He has a one hit kill and some people don't like to get close to him on this account. So you can use a sniper rifle as well. Just stay back and wait for your shot since he goes down in just a couple of carefully placed hits.

Chaingun ganado

This kind of miniboss will shoot his gun until he needs to reload, and that's when you need to make your move. Make sure you're packing the heaviest weapon available, like a sniper rifle or bowgun), otherwise you won't stun him. Always aim for the head and don't get too close. You will meet three or more of them in the game so be prepared. Don't try to out run the gun, unless you must. Try to always stay covered. It takes a bit of shooting, but you will kill him in time.

Salazar

He only has 3 attacks, one being a one shot kill. He will swing his tentacles at you, but you can dodge them. He can also smash the platform with his head and this hurts. His last attack is an instant kill. He will start to open his mouth and that's your cue to get out the way. Shoot his eye and once you hit it enough Salazar will show himself. Pull out your rocket launcher and down him in two hits. Alternatively, you can use a magnum and a sniper rifle.

El Gigante Brothers

There's two of them and much stronger than the original. First, run to the ladder and climb it. Wait until they both are on you and then zip on down the line. Wait until one is one the circle and pull the lever to drop one of them into the lava pit. Stay back until it closes or he will pull you in. after that back to the ladder. Zip down it and let him have it. Cut the parasite off once he falls.

IT

Be sure to dodge all his nasty little tricks. Run around and shoot the barrel when he's on it for additional damage, then unload all your magnum ammo on IT. Once you run out of magnum ammo, use your Shotgun. He will sometimes try to burrow. Just run and dodge when the screen says to. Try to trap him with the bars so you can put some rounds in his head.

Jack Krauser

You only have 3 minutes to beat him so don't waste any time. All of his attacks are one hit kills so stay alert. If you have no ammo you can kill him with your knife real easy as it takes about 18 slashes. Otherwise, blast his knees out. As soon as you can see his chest, shoot it. When he gets close to you use your knife. It will stop him and let you put some rounds in him.

Saddler

Congratulations, you've reached the end boss. He has an eye on every leg. You need to blast its eye and run next to them for a thorough knife slashing. You can blow up a barrel to make him fall and stab him in the eye. After about 10 stabs Ada will show up and toss you a Special Rocket Launcher, but she throws it so far away you have to run over the bridge to get it. The bridge will fall when you're almost across, so be ready. Once you get it, blast his eye out to bring him down and use the Special Rocket Launcher for a grand finale.
