New MacBook Pros allegedly launching next month

A curious listing has emerged over at Tosh Computers, an Apple reseller. Although regarded as a publicity stunt, Tosh lists 17-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros featuring Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors, configurations that are yet to be confirmed by Apple.

In fact, Tosh itself notes that, “Only Apple can confirm specifications and exact release/shipping dates,” yet it exhibits great confidence that it has the right specs for Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro line. It claims the systems are expected to launch in April 2010.

“We are a NZ firm, family-owned for more than 20 years, and stock brand-new Apple equipment and Adobe software in New Zealand,” Tosh introduces itself to newcomers. “[…] We guarantee to be the lowest-cost commercial seller of Apple Macs and Adobe software anywhere in New Zealand, and we beat the Apple and Adobe retail prices easily for all products and every day.”

Over at its website, the new, unconfirmed systems are listed as follows (in between older Macintosh configurations, and other products that go with a Mac): Apple 15" Macbook Pro i5 Process; Apple 15" Macbook Pro i7 Process; Apple 17" Macbook Pro i5 Process; Apple 17" Macbook Pro i7 Process.

By clicking on name of the high-end 17-inch system, Softpedia has learned that Tosh knows more than just processor speeds, as far as these upcoming MacBook Pros are concerned – memory, hard drive, and even battery-life information is listed. Their description follows below.

Apple 17" Macbook Pro i7 Process
