It should try to do better on the PC CPU and graphics fronts

AMD scored supply deals for both Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's Playstation 4 game consoles, which is a big plus.

It might be a double-edged sword, however, if AMD ends up feeling more self-assured because of it.

It's unlikely for AMD to forget that it's bad to put all your eggs in one basket, but there are some who felt the need to give a warning all the same.

Said warning, in layman terms, is thus: AMD shouldn't end up relying on game consoles and, instead, strive to do better on the PC front.

Intel and NVIDIA have both been pushing forward there and, if AMD loses hold of more market share, even consoles won't be able to save it.

In China, for instance, AMD's shares dropped to 20% for CPUs and GPUs after Karen Guo stopped being head of the division there.

According to the report, AMD should do its best to prevent the market share from dropping further, and to prevent something similar from happening in the rest of the world.
