4MLinux Game Edition, a special Linux distribution based on Busybox, Dropbear, OpenSSH, and PuTTY, featuring a large number of games, is now at version 7.2 Beta.

According to the developers, 4MLinux Game Edition 7.2 Beta is just an updated version of 4MLinux Game 7.2 Edition, using 4MLinux 7.1 as the core system.

“The 4MLinux collection includes, among other things, the following items: classic "shoot'em up" games (Abuse, Doom, Heretic, Hexen, and Quake), Liero (a realtime "Worms-like" game), Lincity (a construction and management simulation game), space shooters (XGalaga, Kobo Deluxe), and DOSBox 0.74 with some Freeware DOS games. GNU Chess 6.1.1 with WinBoard 4.7.2, GNU Go 3.8, Michael Speck's LGames, and ec64 (a Commodore C64 emulator) are also available,” reads the official announcement.

4MLinux is a mini Linux distro focusing on the following “4M”s: Maintenance (system rescue Live CD), Multimedia (e.g., playing video DVDs), Miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and Mystery (Linux games).
