ReplaceAds, the large network of audio, video, and display ad inventory in the fast increasing Internet radio business, announced on Friday the launch of a new mobile advertising platform. According to the company, it already generates over 250 million mobile advertising impressions per month, as it has more than 2,000 radio stations, which are available on a wide range of smartphones.

At the same time, the company also notes that the impressions can be filled either with video, or audio, or display ads on smartphones, not to mention that they can be filled with text, SMS or MMS ads on feature phones. The company's radio stations are available on devices like iPhone, iPod Touch, BlackBerry or Android, as well as on other mobile phones.

“Mobile audio and video streaming is growing at a phenomenal rate. Our new mobile monetization platform allows broadcasters to quickly grow their mobile revenues and for advertisers to easily and cost effectively reach our affluent, and highly engaged mobile audience,” John Williams, CEO and founder of Jetcast, Inc., the owner of ReplaceAds, commented on the launch of the new mobile advertising platform.

The mobile streaming is registering impressive growth, ReplaceAds notes, adding that more and more mobile phone users are listening to music, news or talk radio on their iPhone, BlackBerry or Android smartphones. According to a report from Bridge Ratings, the mobile phone radio audience is expected to reach the 40 million limit by 2015.

“Stations with mobile streaming applications can join the ReplaceAds network and start earning advertising revenue immediately with little or no integration necessary. Advertisers interested in reaching the ReplaceAds mobile audience can contact ReplaceAds through the ReplaceAds.com website,” the company announced. Moreover, it also stated that the new ReplaceAds mobile advertising platform was set to be showcased at NAB on April 12 – 15, 2010.
