Rep Shuts Down Talk of Beyonce Faking Her Pregnancy

A video emerged the other day of Beyonce doing an interview for Australian television, prompting a lot of talk of how she was faking her pregnancy by wearing a prosthetic baby bump. Such rumors are “ridiculous,” says her rep.

As we also noted yesterday, the singer made an appearance on Sunday Night HD. Before the interview began, she was shown sitting down on a chair. She was wearing a figure hugging dress.

For a fraction of a second, her baby bump seemed to fold in on itself and then spring back to shape, as the photo attached to this article confirms.

This understandably sparked talk that she was actually wearing a prosthetic baby bump of memory foam because she would have her baby delivered through surrogate – and was only pretending to be with child.

Rubbish, says her spokesperson in a statement cited by TMZ. “Stupid, ridiculous and false” are his exact words regarding said rumors.

Moreover, TMZ writes, there are actual photographs that prove that the singer is not faking anything about her baby bump because she was pictured last month on a beach, rocking a very real bump.

“Color us skeptical – because last month, Bey bared all during a vacation in Croatia with Jay-Z... revealing what looks like a totally legit baby bump,” the e-zine writes in a separate post.

Indeed, the photo leaves little room to doubt Beyonce’s pregnancy: she’s shown wearing a two-piece swimsuit which bares her protruding tummy.

Conspiracy theorists are not convinced though, still saying in online forums that Beyonce is lying about her pregnancy.

At best, they concede, she is actually with child but she’s using a prosthetic device to make it look like she’s farther along than she actually is.

Oddly enough, none of them can explain what the possible reason for Beyonce doing that might be.
