A few hours ago, David Carradine’s dead body was found in the hotel suite he was staying in Bangkok. The actor was hanging by the neck in a closet and was wearing no clothes, which prompted speculation he might have taken his own life. One of his publicists, though, is now telling TMZ that the tragic death was accidental and clearly not a suicide.

The paparazzi agency / celebrity gossip website managed to get a hold of one of the late actor’s spokespersons and can now confirm that Carradine did not commit suicide – at least, if the publicist is right with this one. According to the rep, the actor’s demise was a pure accident, despite the fact that most media outlets are saying he hung himself for reasons yet unknown, which is also the theory police are now working on in the case.

“We can confirm 100% that he never would have committed suicide. It was an accidental death. Everybody is in shock.” the publicist says for TMZ. Chuck Binder, Carradine’s manager was telling approximately the same story yesterday, when he revealed the very idea that the actor might have taken his own life struck him as odd, to say the least, since he had shown no sign of such tendencies in his final days. On the contrary, Binder was saying yesterday, the 72-year-old star was full of life and in better moods than he had been in a long while.

As we informed you, David Carradine, star of the now classic “Kill Bill” films and “Kung Fu,” but also known for his work in countless other karate movies, was found dead in his room at the Park Nai Lert Hotel on Wireless Road in Bangkok. He was away on location, shooting for what turned out to be his last movie, “Stretch.” Other cast members initially noted that he was missing, but failed to become concerned since they believed he had retired for a while longer on account of his age. A maid at the hotel later discovered his body hanging in the closet, with police saying he had been there for no less than 12 hours.

David Carradine’s autopsy will be performed today. Given that other parts of his body were also tied up, either with shoelaces or the rope that was also found around his neck, another theory that is being circulated is that he might have accidentally asphyxiated during an intimate moment.
