Rep: Paris Is Not Britney's Lesbian Lover

Last week, the effect of Britney going commando did not fail to make itself felt, as 'News of the World' was the first to claim that there might be something more than friendship between Paris Hilton and new-found best friend Britney Spears.

Amidst suggestions that the week-long knickerless fest that featured Brit Brit as the main star became possible at Hilton's advice, that the two liked to share public restroom, from where they emerged 'clothes and hair all over the place' and with visual support from the photos of the paparazzi, a faint rumor appeared as to the girls being lesbian lovers.

As photos continued to appear all over the media, showing the two 'friends' touching in ways in which no other two girl friends would ever touch (Paris is seen with one hand on Britney's breast, then caressing her thigh and in all kinds of protective postures), the rumor became stronger and more disseminated.

As usually, 'News of the World' did not have the strong arguments as needed in such a case, but the entire story was rather based on a series of deductions (like, Britney's ex-husbands both claimed that she wanted to engage in full sex with another woman and even demanded threesomes and some older photos of Paris kissing another girl) and on the words of an 'unnamed source'.

However, the story was duly infirmed by Paris' spokesperson, who wouldn't want for the world for his client to be considered anything else than Britney's close friend, helping her to cope with the divorce trauma. Contacted by MSNBC, her publicist said: 'That is just silly. They are just friends and you will continue to see them together. Paris thinks the world of [Britney]', thus putting the stress on the fact that the two were never anything else other than that, despite what people (or photos) imply.
