Expected to go on sale this autumn, Renault Zoe is rumored to have managed in covering a distance of 1590 km (994 miles) throughout the course of 24 hours. The record-breaking race took place on a course in Normandy, France.

Apparently, Zoe was “aided” in establishing this new standard for green vehicles by 9 fast-charge cycles (each taking about 30 minutes).

For the time being, electric cars junkies are waiting for official press releases from Renault in order to confirm these pieces of information.

One major question is whether Zoe could live up to these newly established expectations when asked to run on under real-life conditions. You know: hills, bumps in the road, angry fellow drivers and the like.
