In an effort to boost its sales in Spain, automaker Renault decided that it might not be such a bad idea to offer people some new incentives.

Thus, it was decided that the people wishing to purchase one of the company's Laguna or Espace models would also get an electric Renault Twizy, completely free of charge. This would be the equivalent of a €6,990 discount ($8,546).

Apparently, these car models are presently not doing very well on the market, so company leaders must have thought that making them a package deal could help increase their popularity.

Truth be told, although Renault's decision seems rather praiseworthy from an environmental standpoint, seeing how more green-oriented vehicles will hit the market in this manner, it is highly unlikely that, given Spain’s economic struggle, people will jump at the offer.
