The new version of this powerful application comes with new features

RemoteBox, a graphical tool (GTK) written in Perl, which allows users to administer guests or virtual machines running under VirtualBox on a remote server, has reached version 1.8.

RemoteBox can run on a variety of operating systems, including Linux and BSD. The server part of the application can run on any operating system supported by VirtualBox.

According to the changelog, an option to automatically start chosen guests when the host system boots has been added, an option to set the start delay on an guest so that it can be started up in a specific sequence has been implemented, the option to set the shutdown type on a guest when the host is already shut down has been added, and a VirtualBox preference has been implemented to set the location of the autostart database.

Also, state icons have been added to the snapshot list, additional information is now provided when a storage medium is selected in the VMM, the ability to add, remove, and edit NAT Networks via the VirtualBox preferences menu item has been added, and various bugs have been fixed.
