The car would be the star in the next RC Competition

This baby burnt some real rubber! Have you ever played ReVolt? Because if you didn't, it's time you should. However, I seriously doubt you can reach Nic Case's success.

Nick Maslowski might sound unfamiliar to most of you, but for the RC car addicts, it's like the major leader. This guy managed to build an RC car that was the record holder at 134.4 mph, then Nic Case's nitro Associated TC3 went 134.4mph at last year's World Fastest RC car contest. And this year, Case's team managed to get 127.2 mph with an electrified Schumacher Fusion. Not bad at all!

You might think these guys are playing, but knowing that most full sized vehicles can't hit 200 mph, this might be some important achievement. This month, Nick's goal was an optimistic one, namely that of achieving the top speed of 274 mph with his new X2 car.

The car is powered by 29.6 Volt direct drive motor and features special foam tires capable of withstanding high RPMs, while a gyroscope manipulates the rudders to keep the car in a straight line just like in "2Fast and 2Furious".

According to Maslowski, the real RC car's finished power set-up will use a 12s(44v) lithoum-polymer battery from the Thunder Power. The motor is said to be a Neu custom modified 2215/3y, with a power capacity of 5000watts-around 6.7hp- and the car will be spinning its wheels at 21.000 rpms at 200mph.

In addition, the speed control is a castle Creations HV-110 airplane controller, which can handle up to 44 volts and 110 amps continuous. He says that "No other RC car has this much power in such a small package". And judging by his portfolio, we couldn't agree more.

However, if you can do better, Nick dares you: "If anyone else can build something faster, I'd love to see them try". And, boy, these little cars with barely no speed to weight ratio are the fastest things on earth...

Here's a sample of Nick Case's crazy addiction:

Yeah baby, yeah!!!
