Ricavision Remote Control Puts Vista SideShow on your Palm

Gadgets are devices that help people in day-to-day activities (and "inactivities", of course). Some are made for the professionals and some for the uncommonly lazy persons (and maybe for the lazy professionals too). Take remote controls for example. They are clearly targeted at people in pursuit of a more slothful life. Why leave the warm couch when you can just control pixels by pushing some buttons? And who wants his/her dreams interrupted by some stupid TV ads? People got even lazier soon after TV Tuners infiltrated the PC case environment. Yes, TV Tuners also come with remote controls.

If you're lying on your couch, Windows Vista Sideshows will not save your precious body energy (even though you will not have to get up and turn on the computer). It will only make you feel bad. You'll have to get up from the chair and squint at the small display in order to check your e-mail info. That's wasted energy. But wait, there's even a remote control for media center and Vista.

The device, recently designed by Ricavision, also incorporates a Windows Vista Sideshow. The screen on the remote can give you all the good Sideshow info like e-mail notices and instant messaging "sign ins". It can also give you access to all sorts of life saving and very important info like your music tracks, surfing channels at your leisure while checking incoming mails. The remote has a Bluetooth range of 100 m so you can use it from different rooms. Anyway, watch out for the cordless phones and microwave ovens interferences while carrying this when couch-trekking. No word on the price yet. I wonder if there will ever be a remote control with built-in keyboard.
