Xbox 360 owners should be on the lookout today as the 2012 edition of the Xbox Live House Party kicks off with the release of the quirky 2D puzzle platformer Warp, coming from developer Trapdoor and publisher Electronic Arts.

At the beginning of every year, Microsoft wants to make sure its Xbox Live users have plenty of quality downloadable games to choose from, so it runs the traditional House Party promotion.

This year we’ll see quite a few impressive titles appear in the next four weeks, including Alan Wake’s American Nightmare or I Am Alive, not to mention Nexuiz.

Kicking off the promotion, however, is Warp, a puzzle-based stealth action game, according to EA, in which players guide Zero, a little orange alien that needs to exact payback on the human scientists who did many experiments on him.

After Warp, which is out today, February 15, for 800 MS Points, the Xbox Live House Party continues next week, on February 22, with Alan Wake’s American Nightmare (1200 MS Points), on February 29, with Nexuiz (800 MS Points) and ends on March 7, with I Am Alive (1200 MS Points).
