Owners of a mobile phone running under Google's Android operating system have now another updated application available for download on their handsets, namely Remember The Milk for Android app, now at version 1.4.0.

The new release brings forth some new, appealing features for Android users, including push syncing, along with a wide range of other bug fixes and enhancements.

“Today, we're excited to announce that version 1.4.0 ("Rachael") of the app now includes push syncing, which means that the changes you make to your Remember The Milk tasks online are automatically pushed to your Android device (or, if you're lucky, multiple Android devices all at once,” a post on Remember The Milk blog reads.

“To experience this magical push syncing awesomeness, you'll need an Android device running OS version 2.2 (Froyo) or above. This device must have the Android Market app on it (and a Google account associated) for push syncing to work.”

On handsets that offer support for push syncing, users can enable the feature through selecting Sync Schedule in the Settings screen of the Android app.

As soon as this is done, Push Sync becomes the default setting, and the syncing will take place when something changes on the device or Remember The Milk online.

Moreover, the new release comes with localization updates for Greek, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

As stated above, a series of other fixes and enhancements are also there. Here's what the company notes on the matter:

We've also taken the opportunity to include some other small enhancements and fixes in this release:

- The sort order for the Inbox can now be changed. - Auto-correction is now enabled on the note editing screen. - The app has been updated to support the latest timezone changes around the world.

Pro users can download the application for free from the Android Market. Users without a Pro account will receive a 15 day free trial by downloading the app.

“With this update, we've reset everyone's trials in our system… so everyone who's tried the app previously can now start a new 15 day trial to explore the latest features. Why not give it another go today?” the company concludes.
