This forecast is a no brainer really, all things considered

Having already heard about the plans to include touch support on all notebooks, learning that ultrabooks would follow the same path hardly surprises us.

Indeed, one might argue that it would have been strange for ultrabook makers not to turn touch support into a standard feature by the end of the year.

Especially with Intel's Haswell CPU series coming up and basically every other consumer electronics device already sporting such panels.

The third generation of ultrabooks will be released soon after the Haswell CPU line, which means June or early July. All of them, or most, will have touch panels.

Sadly, strong demand for touch panels has caused a 20% shortage, deftly canceling out the 20% increase in marketing subsidies that Intel was gracious enough to implement.

Promising smooth supply for key components such as touch panels won't really help partner businesses much, but they might lead to better prices, which consumers can only be overjoyed for.
