14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard brings forth two impressive lists and some great stats concerning the actual heroes in its Heroes of the Storm multiplayer experience, explaining which are the most powerful, which are the most balanced, and which aren't as strong as they need to be right now.
Heroes of the Storm launched last year around the world as a closed alpha test stage. At the beginning of the year, the closed beta test rolled around, with more and more people being invited into the game, or buying their entry through the Founder's Pack.
Blizzard confirmed earlier this week that a lot of interesting new things are coming to Heroes of the Storm, from the hero Sylvanas, to a new battleground called Tomb of the Spider Queen.
Some heroes are more powerful than others
Now, the studio shares a few interesting statistics about hero viability in the Quick Match and the Hero League modes, highlighting the best and least effective characters.
First up, the Quick Match mode has a surprising balance, according to Blizzard, which highlights that all heroes are near the 50% win/loss ratio.
However, the most effective are The Lost Vikings, Rehgar, Brightwing, Nazeebo, and Uther. The most balanced are Diablo and Zagara, while the least effective right now is Chen, who Blizzard confirms will get some balancing changes soon enough.
The Hero League mode, which can be accessed after players reach level 30 and want a competitive, ranked experience, has a different set of best picks, starting once again with The Lost Vikings and Rehgar, but continuing with illidan, Sgt. Hammer, and Tyrande.
The most balanced heroes in this mode are Zeratul and Valla, while the least effective is Murky. Just like with Chen, Blizzard pledges to make some changes in order to transform him into a more powerful character.
Unfortunately, it's unclear when Blizzard will implement all these changes so, for now, you might want to pick form the best heroes to increase your odds of success.
