Xbox 360 owners who want to try out the upcoming 2013 Xbox Live Update, which brings better performance and the ability to make transactions without MS Points, can now register for a special public beta stage.

Microsoft has made a habit of allowing Xbox 360 owners to try out the different changes it's going to make to the Xbox Live system and the Xbox 360 interface.

For the 2013 update, the company is now organizing a special public beta stage and registrations are already open for all Live members, no matter the country or if they have a Gold subscription.

Those who want to try out the new update can simply access the Xbox Beta Program tile on the home hub of the Xbox 360's dashboard.

The update includes an improved performance, according to the blog of Microsoft's Larry Hryb, but also the ability to conduct transactions with local currency instead of MS Points.

Space in the public beta is limited, so act now.
