Interestingly, a refurbished MacBook Air going for $999 is still available via Apple's online store. Back in January, Softpedia reported that Apple's Special Deals section was listing a refurbished MacBook Air unit as available for under $1000. Normally, the MacBook Air model retails for $1,799, making the refurb highly affordable and attractive.
