Reflexive Entertainment, which some know as Reflexive Arcade, has announced today the availability of two of their big names, Ricochet Lost Worlds and Big Kahuna Reef. These two games are well known in the casual game market both for their game play and their looks.
Ricochet Lost Worlds, at the core is a familiar, rebound type game that we have played in some form at least once. The game play consists of bouncing a ball by making use of a paddle, or in this case, you
ship, in order to have it break blocks found throughout the level.
However the developers have taken that core and built upon it a high quality game. The stunning visuals and sound effects, the captivating soundtrack, a ton of power-ups, a new "Ring Game" and a level editor you can use to make your own levels all blend together for pure arcade enjoyment.
Big Kahuna Reef is a new look and feel on the old matchmaking game. You break boxes in a gorgeous underwater environment in your quest for the Mask of the Tiki.
The scenery is filled with aquatic life from fish to turtles that mill about as you play, and the entire game is very under-the-sea themed. A nice touch is the Mouse party feature that allows multiple players to play on the same computer over an infinite number of levels, thanks to the included level editor.
It's good to see Reflexive active on the Mac scene, and we hope to see more OSX compatible products from them in the near future.
