If anyone has or intends to buy a whole bunch of fans for their desktop, they may want to look for a fan controller too, like the Reeven RFC-01 “Six Eyes”. We have kept mentioning how 5.25-inch drive bays can
house fan controllers, not just ODDs, and
it looks like a new accessory of that sort has been made available, in Japan at least.
The RFC-01 “Six Eyes” is more of a series of case fans, although, true enough, only two versions are available, distinguished by their color alone: one of them is black and the other is white.
That said, the RFC-01 has (or have) six fan channels, each with its own speed-control knob and diagnostic display.
There is even a safety alarm that goes off when the temperatures inside the case go past a certain limit (six thermal zones can be tracked at once, predictably enough).
The price of the “Six Eyes” is 4,480 JPY, or $57/44.27 Euro. It will be sold under local brands (like Scythe).
