Reese Witherspoon sure moves fast! The legally blonde actress, whose divorce from Ryan Phillippe was recently finalized, and who has in the meantime been romantically linked to her "Rendition" co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, has reportedly fallen for British singer James Blunt. And while the fact in itself is not that surprising, since we all know James' killer blue eyes and musical talent would melt any lady's heart, but from the sound of it, Reese really took it upon herself to hit it off with the 'You're Beautiful' singer - and it seems to have worked out just fine!

The singer and the actress met up after Blunt's show at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles at the end of last month. A source revealed that "Reese arrived with three female friends and headed straight for the bar. They sat at a private VIP table and drank white wine. They looked like they were having a great time. She looked relaxed and happy, and when James finished his set and walked into the bar, Reese practically ran to him".

I can pretty much picture the scene - not to mention the fact that chatting with a guy who sings beautiful love songs can't be that difficult. "Reese was laughing and smiling" the source added. "They seemed to have great chemistry. She was saying how much she loved his music and making it obvious that she was really into him. They clearly shared a connection".

I think they would definitely make a lovely couple, but the fact is, Reese has heavy competition. Blunt is not precisely a guy who likes to spend quiet evenings at home with a glass of wine, but seems to be taking full advantage of his international fame and good looks. He has, in fact, been linked to a string of women including supermodel Petra Nemcova, Paris Hilton, British socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Kate Bosworth.

Not very good news, Reese - fingers crossed he hasn't slept with Paris Hilton, as that should probably be enough to put any woman off this guy. He's cute, sure, but think of all the diseases! No, I firmly believe James has been a good boy. At least I hope he has - and I hope Reese does manage to get him before Lindsay Lohan puts the moves on him. And we all know what that may lead to.
