Reese is not pregnant! That's the stand taken by the Oscar-winning actress, her PRs and her crew of attorneys in response for the past month's allegations that appeared in the press.
The star has filed a complaint against the tabloid 'Star' Magazine for an article published this month, according to which she is four months pregnant and desperately trying to hide the 'baby bump' under baggy old-fashioned clothes and 'Empire-waist dresses'.
The fact that the two reporters responsible for the article started spreading rumors that the star was pregnant is not such a wrong thing, after all; tabloids do this kind of stunts all the time. And Reese is most likely aware of it.
She decided to sue the magazine not for the actual spreading of false rumors, but for the fact that the article said that she is trying to conceal her showing belly from the producers of her upcoming two movies, which is a serious attack on her credibility and reputation as an actress.
Furthermore, the executives from 'Star' had previously been given a heads-up from Reese's PRs as to the rumors not being true, but decided against better judgment to publish the story anyway to boost decreasing sales.
The actress is asking for unspecified (yet) damages and the suit is filed under the violation of Common Law Right of Publicity and Invasion of Privacy.
