Reese Witherspoon is said to consult her daughter, Ava Elizabeth, every time she has to decide whether she would accept or reject a role in a movie.
The Hollywood actress wants to become a positive role model for her six-year-old girl.
Witherspoon, who was highly appreciated for her acts in romantic comedies, thinks that the best offers are the movies her kids have something to learn from.
"A lot of the roles I choose to do are because I have a daughter and I want her to see what women are really like - women who are strong and accomplished", Witherspoon said.
"It's really important and it's nice to think that people are comfortable letting their daughters see the films I'm in. That's an important responsibility", The Legally Blonde star added.
Reese has also declared her personal experiences inspired some of her acts.
The actress had no trouble playing a dead woman in her new movie Just Like Heaven because she once saw her dead grandfather watching her rehearse on-stage.
"I've seen my dead grandfather's ghost before. I was doing a play reading in New York and there was no one in the audience. Then I looked out and he was there watching me.
(…) I looked down, looked up again and he was gone. That was right after he'd died", Witherspoon confessed.
Meanwhile, the actress gets praise for her June Carter portrayal in the Johnny Cash biopic, "Walk The Line". The work may get Reese her first Oscar nomination.
