14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this week, word got out online that Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth were expecting their first child together, Reese's third. She's reportedly planning to take some time off from showbiz to focus on her family.
Unlike other celebrity moms, Reese is determined to take a break from making movies, the latest print issue of Us Weekly says (story via here).
Though the star is yet to confirm being pregnant in the first place, it would seem she's already making plans for her career for when she gets back.
For the time being, though, she's thinking mostly of going on a break.
“Reese and Jim were trying to get pregnant. This wasn’t a surprise… her kids are at an age where they are busy with friends and lives of their own… it will be nice for her to be able to do it all over again with her new husband,” a source close to the star reveals for the magazine.
The plan was to have a baby as possible all along.
“[Jim] really wanted a baby. Before Jim met Reese, he wasn’t sure about having kids. Being around her kids has really shown him what it’s all about,” the insider notes.
Now that their dream has come true, Reese is determined to put her career on hold to focus exclusively on her family.
“They’re not a 'movie star' couple… Reese makes Jim and the kids a priority. They’re together a lot… Reese doesn’t like to travel for too long and be away,” the insider notes.
Because of this, Reese will be taking “some time off” shortly and, when she's back, she'll have Jim handle her career – because it's not been going that great in recent years, with her movies being labeled disappointments at the box office.
“She’s not getting great offers… she wants to relaunch her career completely and have Jim handle it,” the spy explains.
