Rovio Mobile has announced a new episode for Angry Birds Seasons. Dubbed Summer Pignic (not a typo, obviously), the new set of levels will once again have players popping green pigs to save the birds’ eggs.
“Get Ready for Angry Birds Seasons - Summer Pignic! The pesky pigs never break for holidays, and it's up to you to save the Angry Birds' eggs! Follow the RovioMobile channel for a special summer surprise coming soon!”, reads the description on YouTube.
Around 15 seconds into the clip, Rovio shows the new Angry Birds episode running on what is clearly an iPhone but with a square Home button.
We’re pretty sure Rovio doesn’t have the blueprints for Apple’s iPhone 5, but frankly, it looks awesome.
Plus, there have been some rumors of a redesigned Home button on Apple's next iPhone, so we decided to share it with our readers, for what it's worth.
The Finnish developer is yet to confirm an exact release date for Angry Birds Seasons - Summer Pignic, but fans of the series can rest assured the update will be free, and packed with exciting new challeneges.
Avid fans playing every possible version available should also learn there’s a new episode for the original Angry Birds game as well.
Released last week as the main attraction of version 1.6.0, the Mine and Dine episode features 15 all-new levels that take the birds underground.
The release also tweaks up some hard-to-beat levels: “Any particular levels stonewalling your progress? We tweaked a couple of them to spare you a few gray hairs!”, Rovio said.
You can download Angry Birds for iPhone and iPad using the links below. Those who haven’t yet grabbed the Seasons installment can do so right now and play the numerous existing episodes until Summer Pignic is out.
