Microsoft kicked off its E3 2013 press conference not with the Xbox One next-gen console, but with the current Xbox 360, as the company confirmed that a redesigned console is now on sale in stores.

The E3 2013 press conference organized by Microsoft is underway and, before focusing on the Xbox One and its myriad of upcoming games, the company decided to confirm that a redesigned version of the Xbox 360 is now available in stores in the United States at least.

The newer, sleeker console is designed to better fit into the media center of gamers from around the world.

No other technical details are known about the newer version of the Xbox 360, except that it bears a boxier design, presumably to be stacked on top of other devices, like DVRs or the upcoming Xbox One next-gen console.
