Owners of Android devices interested in searching for new applications from the comfort of their desktop PCs can enjoy a new, redesigned version of the Google Play Store now.

The new Store is much faster than before, and sports cards, just as Google Now does on Jelly Bean devices.

The tiled interface is complemented by full-sized screenshots for apps and the option to add applications to the wish list straight from the web store.

The entire experience that users receive from the store is much more fluid now, courtesy of said performance improvements (which include the replacement of the PNG file format with WebP, as AndroidPolice notes) and redesigned individual pages for apps.

Google modified the devices page as well, and no longer allows users to view apps installed on their handsets and / or tablet PCs from the web store, it seems.
