Verizon and Redbox Digital Entertainment Services have made available for download a new application for owners of Android-based handsets on the wireless carrier’s network, namely Redbox Instant by Verizon.

The new app release provides users with the possibility to easily watch movies on a phone or tablet PC, while also enabling users to reserve movies at the box.

Furthermore, the mobile application comes with bookmarking capabilities, as well as with support for buying and renting movies even when users do not have a subscription.

There are thousands of popular movies waiting to be discovered, all available through the new Redbox Instant by Verizon application.

The application is now available for download through the Google Play store, free on all devices that run under Google’s Android 2.3 platform or newer. More info on the offering can be found on RedboxInstant.com.
