14 DAY TRIAL // RedHack starts the year with attacks against a number of high-profile organizations from Turkey. Their latest targets are the country’s Parliament, the Turkish Contractors Association, the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and the Justice and Development Party (AKP).
First, the hackers exploited a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability on the Parliament’s website (tbmm.gov.tr) to send a message to the government.
Then, they breached the TCDD and leaked several files allegedly stolen from the organization’s systems. They’ve also leaked what they claim are usernames and clear text passwords from the Turkish Contractors Association (tmb.org.tr).
Finally, RedHack says it managed to infiltrate the email systems of the AKP Izmir headquarters. Emails that allegedly represent acts of corruption have been published online.
A member of RedHack has told me that the group will announce more hacks in the upcoming hours.
