The cub's caretakers call him “baby Lincoln,” say he is utterly adorable

Back in July, the Lincoln Children's Zoo in Lincoln, US welcomed a baby red panda. Because his mother failed to properly look after him, keepers took him under their care.

Thus, they've spend the past few months tending to his every wishes and desires, and provided him with around-the-clock care.

They are now proud to announce that, thanks to their efforts, the red panda cub is healthy and strong. Not to beat about the bush, he is thriving. Zoo Borns tells us that, because the red panda will eventually be sent to another zoo, keepers have decided to name him Lincoln.

They hope baby Lincoln, as they now call him, will one day be a worthy representative of the city and of the state of Nebraska.
